Sheesh! I’ve been away from this blog for a LONG time! Life has brought some lovely changes our way lately.
First of all, we moved a few months ago, and now we are WAY closer to the Waldorf school were, in a mere three weeks, both of my girlies will be in full day school, five days a week! I know, whoa, what’s a mama to do?! Well, I am seriously ramping up my piano lessons (I teach at Wildflower School of Music in Dripping Springs). And I also hope to be able to spend more time knitting and developing patterns again.
The one I’ve been developing lately is a sweet little doll dress. It fits both our Waldorf dolls, and our 18 inch American girl dolls. And it looks adorable on both!
I have two more on my needles right now, but here is a photo of the one I have finished so far.
And, if you are curious about the move, here are some photos of the new place… Which just happens to be our own little mini farm!
The girls new bedroom……
The new gate that Mark built for my beautiful garden…….
Sprinkler play in the back yard……
The new chicken coop…….
The new baby bunnies…….
The new goat……
And last, but not least, the new kitties…..
Now y’all probably need some time to process all this sweetness, so I’ll let you have a moment to yourselves… See you soon!

Two thirds of the way into my first pair of socks and I am just smitten! They are adorable little bed socks that will be perfect with a pair of clogs… If only I hadn’t given my clogs away… Guess I’ll have to get another pair!
I’m using the Turkish Bed Socks pattern by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas.
And now, the hunt for more fabulous sock yarn begins!

So, as it turns out, having two kids is insane! Good, but man oh man, it’s all consuming. Now that baby A is nine months old I am just starting to find a little time to knit again.
Just thought I’d let y’all know that I’ve still got it.
Today I’m working on a rainbow felted water bottle holder for big L, who’s starting kindergarten at the Waldorf school in the fall.
Oh yeah, and I got some new lenses and flashes for my hipstamatic app. This is taken with the Holga lens on Ina’s 1969 film with a red gel flash. Lovin’ it!
I’m using Malabrigo worsted yarn.

I’ve been working on the medium size for my longies pattern that I’m writing up. They’re coming along very nicely in this lovely Purewool yarn. I just love knitting with Purewool! It’s so soft and squishy…. mmmm…
And speaking of my longies pattern, I’m so grateful to all of my wonderful pattern testers. Y’all are so amazing and your insight is priceless. Thank you!
Finished up the “newborn” sized scrappy longies that I was making from Mosaic Moon Cestari scraps…
Turns out this yarn is a much thicker worsted weight than the Araucania I originally wrote the pattern up in, so this pair ended up being a whole size bigger. It’s not really a problem, as the babe will probably be in smalls for a lot longer than newborns. Mostly I just have to keep it in mind for when I’m writing the patterns.
And speaking of writing patterns, I just signed up several pattern testers for this longies pattern, so the ball is really rolling now!
I also just got started on the next size up – medium.
If you’re interested in being a pattern tester for this longies pattern comment on this post and I’ll get you all set up.
Cheers!

A few days ago I got some wonderful Mosaic Moon (on Cestari) yarn scraps in the mail. And last night I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to get started on a pair of scrappy longies for Baby Moo. I got most of the way through the waist band before I pooped out and had to go to bed.
This morning I changed my mind about using one of the Mosaic Moon colors for the trim (waist band and leg cuffs), so I found a good coordinating trim from my stash (O-Wool, in an eggplant kind of color).
I frogged the first waist band and got to about the same point on the second. Here are the progress photos.

Just put the finishing touches on the brown and green longies, and another pair of green shorties that I’ve been working on.
The longies are knit in Araucania with Cascade 220 trim.
And the shorties are knit in Purewool (Forest of Pines colorway) – which is quickly becoming one of my favorites… it’s so deliciously soft and fluffy!
Cheers!
