Blue Monday :: 7

Good morning!

It is a beautiful morning here in Austin, and I’m feeling whimsical, just like this little blue loch ness monster.  Thanks to kathrynivy.com for uploading it to Flickr, where I found it.  The pattern can be found at hansigurumi.etsy.com.

Think I’ve got some designing and photograph taking in me today!

Cheers!
Annie

Found these today on Ravelry/ Flickr. Aren’t they just the cutest?
Thought y’all would like ’em!

Also, I’m having some professional photos of some of my work taken this weekend by my dear friend, and the very talented photographer/ artist/ graphic designer/ mom, Lauri Johnston.

So keep an eye out for the new photos, coming soon!

Tried New Whirly-Gig Gadget

So I just got back from the local yarn store where I stopped in to use their swift to ball up a few skeins of yarn that were sent to me for custom orders… Oh my goodness!  They got a new toy – an all wooden, electric ball winder.  It was magical!  All you had to do was get the yarn situated in the winder and then flip the switch.   Just like magic!

Not sure if this is the exact model they had, but it looked pretty much like this:

On another note, I finished those longies that I’ve been working on.  I’ll post a pic as soon as I can get a good one.  They look great!

I’m also almost finished with a baby blanket that I’ve been designing for a friend who just had her sweet baby last weekend… a little girl named Fiona Rose.  Such a sweet name.  I think I’m going to call it the “Fiona Rose Baby Blanket”.  Will post photos of the blanket too as soon as I get good ones.
